Care Instructions

Congrats Doll!!! Welcome to the Waist Training Team!

It's time to unlock your true potential and crush those goals. Here are a few tips on how to take care of your new waist trainer.

How to put on

When putting on your waist trainer you want to start from the bottom hooks and work your way up. Your going to bring your bottom hooks up to the smallest part of your waist. Start hooking the hooks and stop at hook #5. If you have a lower tummy that hangs at this point you want to stick your hand inside the faja and lift any skin that is hanging out of the faja up into the faja. Make sure your whole lower tummy is covered and lifted. Then you can finish hooking the rest of the hooks.  When taking it off start from the top and work your way down. For a easier way to put on your waist trainer, lay on your bed.

When to go tighter

Give it about 3 to 5 weeks before moving to the next set of hooks.

How to Wash

People usually don’t know how to clean waist trainer. For practical use and if you are wearing your waist trainer/faja for long periods of time, you need to wash it.

You can hand wash your faja following the steps below:

  1. Fill a small tub or sink with lukewarm water (lukewarm is between 96 to 105 degrees, usually it should feel like your own body temperature) and dissolve 1-2 teaspoon of mild detergent.
  2. Do not use bleach, stain removers or fabric softener – these may harm the stretch and moisture handling properties of this fabric. (IMPORTANT TIP) ONLY If you are washing a Post-Partum faja or Post Surgery faja and you have some bloodstains, then what you want to do to minimize bloodstains,  you will want to wash as soon as possible. A pre-soaking solution of a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide in a gallon of water may help remove blood stains.
  3. Submerge your faja/waist trainer into the soapy water and gently swish through all the colombian faja on both sides.
  4. Then grab a small soft bristle brush and gently rub on the INSIDE OF YOUR FAJA ONLY, this is done to the inside to wash away any dead body skin and dirt.
  5. After it has been cleaned, rinse the faja thoroughly with your hands and with cold water.
  6. Next, gently Squeeze the excess of water. Avoid twisting or wringing the faja while doing this, as we do not want to damage any hooks, etc.
  7. You can dry the faja/waist trainer with a dry towel to accelerate the drying process
  8. Finally, always air-dry your shapers flat or hanging.  Hang the faja/waist trainer to dry somewhere indoors, usually on a towel rack or on your shower rod. Do not hang outside in direct sunlight. Do not use a dryer machine.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WASH MY FAJA?

If you are wearing it for a regular day from 3-8 hours you can wash it every 2-3days. It all depends on how much you sweat. If you take it to the gym, wash it right after your workout.
